Trump Vows To Decimate Iran of It Carries Out Assassination Plot

Washington: US President Donald Trump has warned Iran that the American military would “completely decimate and destroy all areas” of the Islamic Republic if its leaders attempted or carried out his assassination.
The warning, issued in a Truth Social post late on Friday, followed a week of renewed clashes between the US and Iran that appeared to undermine hopes that a tentative accord between the two countries would hold.
“1,000 missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands more to immediately follow, should the Iranian Government act on its threat, pronounced in many corners of the Globe, to assassinate, or attempt to assassinate, the sitting President of the United States of America, in this case, ME!” Trump wrote.
“Orders have been given, and the US Military is ready, willing and able,” he added.
Earlier this week, Trump changed Air Force One aircraft at a British military base while returning from the NATO summit in Turkey. He denied that the move was prompted by a security threat.
Asked whether Iran posed a credible threat, Trump said he faced threats constantly and was “No. 1 on their list”.
Trump survived several assassination attempts during the 2024 presidential campaign and was briefed by the Biden administration about “real and specific threats from Iran”. Reports this week said Israel had also warned him of a fresh Iranian plot.
