Immersive journalism: Pak reporter in neck-deep water reports on flood situation
Islamabad: Live reporting from the location does seem exciting but reporters go to extreme lengths to give an exact picture of the news. This Pakistani reporter touched new highs (or lows) for journalism by reporting on the flood situation caused by the Sind River in the Punjab region of Pakistan, by standing, in neck-deep water.
This video, shared by the news channel themselves is doing the rounds on the internet and becoming more and more viral.
The footage shows a G-TV News reporter standing in neck-deep water with barely his head sticking out to report on the situation. Talking about the rising water levels of the Sind River in Punjab region, he says how the agricultural lands in the area have been submerged.
Sharing the video online about their reporter, identified as Azadar Hussain, the channel wrote, “Pakistani Reporter in Flood Water, risks his life in danger to perform his duties. [sic]”
