Pakistan cleric predicts major change in Dec

Maulana Fazlur Rehman added “We need to wait whether in-house change in the parliament is brought or the entire government is sent packing.”

Islamabad: Pakistani cleric Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Monday said there will be ‘change’ in December adding this had been agreed when he called off the sit-in in Islamabad this month.

Maulana Rehman, who leads the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, made a shocking disclosure about ‘conditions’ under which the opposition’s Azadi (liberation) March sit-in was called off.

“I was assured that a change would come in the month of December. I was assured that new general elections would be held in the next three months,” he revealed. He added: “We need to wait whether in-house change in the parliament is brought or the entire government is sent packing.” He has called multi-party conference of the parties on November 26.
