Karachi: A girl was arrested in Pakistan's Karachi region for allegedly setting her father on fire after he brutally raped her and her sisters, according to a report in the Independent.
The teenager from Karachi's Pirabad area told police that she had already planned to kill her father after he attempted to rape her. She further added that her father had also raped her younger as well as elder sisters.
"She had used sleeping pills to drug our father before setting him on fire," the girl's brother was quoted as saying.
Police have confirmed that the man died after succumbing to his injuries.
Meanwhile, the girl has been detained at the Women Police Station's West Zone in Liaquatabad, Karachi.
However, many cases have been reported in Pakistan in which girls have been set ablaze for rejecting marriage proposals.
