Pakistan claims India broke ceasefire, calls envoy

The official statement said the Pakistan administration conveyed to India that it must investigate the incident.

Islamabad: Pakistan on Thursday summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner to protest against the alleged LoC violations resulting in one death.

A foreign office statement said: “The Indian Deputy High Commissioner was called in by the Director General (SA & Saarc) on Thursday. A protest was lodged against the unprovoked ceasefire violations on October 19-20, by the Indian forces at the LoC in Karela sector, which resulted in martyrdom of one civilian, Abdul Rehman, 28. As many as 12 civilians including children and women were injured as a result of the fire.”

The official statement said the Pakistan administration conveyed to India that it must investigate the incident thoroughly and share the findings with Pakistan.
