Kabul: At least 20 Taliban insurgents were killed in a drone strike in Afghanistan's northern Kunduz province on Tuesday.
The airstrike was carried out earlier on Tuesday in Dasht-e-Archi district targeting two vehicles of the Taliban insurgents, reports the Khaama Press.
Hejratullah Akbari, provincial police spokesman, said that two vehicles were targeted around 10 am local time in Mullah Quli area. Akbari said that preliminary reports suggested a number of Taliban commanders were also among those killed in the airstrike.
