Daughter of the murdered former prime minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, tweeted on Tuesday against the Ehtaram-e-Ramzan Bill which approved by the senate standing committee for religious affairs.
In her tweet she claimed that not every one was fit enough to fast. Those who can’t might die of dehydration or heat stroke. Hence, she claimed it is a “ridiculous law”. The Bill states that people who will eat or smoke openly during Ramzan may be fined Rs 500 and may face a three month imprisonment. TV channels and cinemas will also be fined Rs 5,00,000 or more along with imprisonment.
