JUD chief Hafiz Saeed calls Donald Trump's win a victory of racism
Islamabad: Reacting to Donald Trump's victory in the recently concluded United States presidential election, Hafiz Saeed, chief of Jamaat-ud-Dawaa (JuD), an Islamic charity linked to outlawed militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), has termed the development as a victory of racism and ignorance.
Saeed said knowledge, wisdom, understanding and endurance have been defeated while racism and ignorance won in America.
"God has entangled America into internal issue in the shape of Trump," he was quoted as saying in a statement by nation.com.pk.
The JuD chief asserted that the entire world has expressed shock on Trump's election as the US president as markets crashed.
"We believe that there is no need to worry about it. Indeed, America has done injustice in the world, killed Muslims and spread barbarism. Now Allah wants to punish Americans. America's new real face will be exposed. Muslim countries should unite and strengthen their defence. Especially defence of Haramain Sharifain is the most important issue," he said.
"We should stand on our feet for resolution of Kashmir and Palestine issues. US crutches have been broken. Turn to Allah instead of spreading disappointments and seek help from Allah," he added.
The jihadi leader also insisted that changes taking place in the United States and the West were a positive message to Islam and Muslims, adding that the US election had proved that Americans were an ignorant nation who voted for a wrong candidate.
