13 killed in gas cylinder blasts in Bangladesh
A bus and a van carrying gas cylinders, collided on a highway on Friday night.
Dhaka: At least 13 people were killed in a gas cylinder explosion after a bus and a van collided on Dhaka-Khulna highway in Faridpur's Nagarkanda on Friday night.
The Daily Star quoted a police official, as saying that some gas cylinders in the covered van got exploded after the collision.
Twelve passengers from the bus and the driver of the covered van were among those killed.
According to fire service officials, most of dead were burnt beyond recognition as both the vehicles caught fire after the collision.
Three among the dead were identified as Golam Rosul, Hemayet Hossain and Md Jewel.
Four burnt victims were rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
