Afghan woman shot in head with AK-47 for allegedly murdering husband
Kabul: A woman who was accused of murdering her husband was publicly shot in the head with an AK-47 weapon by Taliban militants in Afghanistan. She was convicted for the crime by a local Taliban court.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, the accused woman, dressed in burqa, was forced to kneel down on a road and executed. The execution took place in Afghanistan's Khanaqa district.

The video footage shows the woman kneeling down on the floor, with Taliban militants and locals surrounding her. The men can be heard hurling abuses at the woman.
After a while, a masked executioner can be seen stepping forward with an AK-47 rifle in his hand. He approaches the woman as the crowd spreads out.

Seconds later, the armed gunman takes aim at the woman and with just one shot - the woman falls to the ground.
The deputy police chief of the region said that the deceased woman could not be identified, but the execution incident was genuine.
