Islamabad: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan’s step-daughter was among the two new members who joined the party on Monday. Mehru Hayat, daughter of Imran’s wife Bushra Maneka, and her friend Farah Khan congratulated the prime minister designate for the win in elections and expressed contentment over the party’s leadership and manifesto.
Crediting Imran Khan for his political understanding in youth, Mehru Hayat said he has the ability to pull the country out of the crisis.
Mehru induction in PTI raises pertinent questions over nepotism in the party ranks since Imran Khan has vehemently opposed nepotism and dynastic politics for the way electoral tickets were awarded.
