New Delhi/Islamabad: Days after reports of his death, the terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar has reportedly released an audio clip in which he rejected rumours of his death and warned the Pakistan government to stop persecuting mosques and true Muslims.

In the 11-minute audio clip released on Wednesday evening and uploaded on JeM chat platforms in which Azhar talked about India, Pulwama attack and liberals in Pakistan.

Azhar started his speech with his fake death story and said he is alive and doing well. He asked his followers to start a jihad against India for oppressing Kashmiris.

“There are reports about my death. But only God decides how long you live and when you die,” the clip said.

He narrated incidents of alleged torture during his prison time in India and stated that Pakistan was currently acting under pressure. Slamming India for putting pressure from all corners, Azhar said that the political leadership in the country has failed to understand India’s ploy.

“Fear God,” Azhar said in the speech. “And stop persecuting the mosques, madrassas, and mujahideen. Remember, that when a Muslim flees the battle against the hypocrites, the wrath of Allah is upon him.”

In one part of the speech he referred to liberals like Malala and said that Pakistan being an Islamic country should not allow them to take over the country.

“These liberals couldn’t tolerate the Islamisation of Pakistan under Zia-ul-Haq so just imagine what will happen if people like us rise against them,” said Azhar.

Taking a dig at Pakistan’s foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Azhar said officials were in touch with Jaish and added that the government will have to accept Jaish as it was.

The audio, as stated in the clip, was recorded on March 4.

Qureshi had last week acknowledged that Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar, the masterminded behind several terror attacks in India, is in Pakistan. Qureshi further said that Azhar is really unwell and not in a position to even leave his house.
