Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday said that anyone who crosses the Line of Control (LoC) from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK) to provide humanitarian aid or support to the people of Indian side of the Jammu & Kashmir will play into the hands of the Indian narrative.
The premier took to Twitter and wrote, “I understand the anguish of the Kashmiris in AJK seeing their fellow Kashmiris in Kashmir under an inhumane curfew for over 2 months. But any one crossing the LoC from AJK to provide humanitarian aid or support for Kashmiri struggle will play into the hands of the Indian narrative (sic).”
He added: “A narrative that tries to divert from the indigenous Kashmiris’ struggle against brutal Indian Occupation by trying to label it as “Islamic terrorism” being driven by Pakistan. It will give India an excuse to increase violent oppression of Kashmiris in IOJK & attack across LoC (sic).”
Meanwhile on Saturday, Pakistan foreign minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, said Prime Minister Imran Khan and the entire nation was standing with the Kashmiri people in their struggle for freedom.
Addressing the first session of National Zakariya Conference in Multan, he said curfew had been imposed in Kashmir for the last 62 days. He said sick and injured Kashmiris were deprived of medical treatment and other facilities.
The foreign minister said negotiations for the settlement of Afghanistan issue were in progress.
