Pakistan PM Imran Khan snubs minister for LoC photo session
Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan Tuesday expressed anger on federal minister for water resources Faisal Vawda for having an unreasonable photo session along the Line of Control (LoC).
“God bless, you did not cross the LoC,” the Prime Minister said while expressing distress on that publicity stunt in a meeting.
Mr Vawda at the LoC took a photo session, and later uploaded photos on the social media. According to sources, the remarks came from the PM during a high-level meeting.
Meanwhile, hundreds of families have been forced to go back to their homes and take shelter in government buildings or other ‘safe’ places because of the Indian shelling along the LoC.
Many camps have been set up to provide shelter to the families, according to districts administration and the state disaster management authority.
The administration has confirmed that people from Samahani, Abba-spur, Hajeera, Chakothi, Khuiratta, Nakyal, Kotli, Fatehpur Thakyala, Khu-rsheedabad and other areas near the LoC had migrated to ‘safer’ areas. Nakyal sector of Kotli district is said to be the worst hit sector.
