ISIS terrorists 'deep fry' their own militants trying to flee war-torn Mosul

The militants were allegedly hurled into trenches full of burning oil while they were still alive.

Mosul: Even as Iraqi army continues to evacuate civilians from war-torn Mosul on one hand and wipe out ISIS from the land, it has emerged that the terror group is 'deep frying' its own militants who try to run away from the battle.

According to a report in the Mirror, ISIS terrorists have been resorting to burning oil pits in order to black out the visibility for Iraqi forces trying to attack them.

Reports also stated that the terror group has so far killed eleven of its militants for trying to escape from various battles. However in this case, the militants were killed by being hurled into trenches full of burning oil while they were still alive.

"ISIS terrorist gangs executed nine of its members for fleeing the battle against the security forces in Mosul, by throwing them in trenches containing a burning oil, after tying their hands and legs," the report stated.

Meanwhile, Iraqi special forces have moved more than 1,000 people from villages near the front lines of the battle to retake Mosul.

The Mosul campaign, which may become the biggest battle yet in the 13 years of turmoil unleashed by the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003, aims to crush the Iraqi half of Islamic State's declared caliphate in Iraq and neighboring Syria.

The Iraqi force attacking Mosul is 30,000-strong, supported by US special forces and under American, French and British air cover. The number of insurgents dug in the city is estimated at 5,000 to 6,000 by the Iraqi military.
