Qatar on Friday accepted India's appeal against the death penalty served to 8 Navy veterans, according to reports. A Qatar court granted India's appeal against the death sentence, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The appeal will be reviewed thoroughly before finalising a date for hearing the appeal, reports added.
The eight Navy men, who were working with Dahra Global Technologies and Consultancy Services were arrested in August 2022 reportedly in an alleged case of espionage.
