Tug-of-war and musical chairs: ISIS organises their own Jihad Olympics

Young children gave in all their energy in blowing up the balloons as other on-lookers cheered and encouraged them.

Tal Afar, Iraq: Unlike Islamic State's routine activities including public executions and enforcing rules and regulations on their prisoners, the dreaded terror outfit has come up with a new side of their image by organising a range of games -- their very own -- Jihad Olympics.

Newly released images by the terror group show children as young as five participating in a series of games. The photographs were posed on the social micro-blogging website Twitter by Terrormonitor.

The Olympics is believed to have been taken place in the city of Tal Afar in northwestern Iraq.

During the fun activity, ISIS militants encouraged on-lookers to come and participate in the games that included tug-of-war and musical chairs.

According to a report, the terror group has been desperately trying to portray normal life under its rule -- mostly in Raqqa, Syria, Iraq and Mosul.

The newly released images show children wearing sporty t-shirts as they compete against each other in fun games -- all organised by ISIS known for slaughtering people in the most cruel ways.

Among other games, blowing the balloon was the most enjoyed game. Young children gave in all their energy in blowing up the balloons as other on-lookers cheered and encouraged them.

ISIS Olympics images come in the wake of the recent revelation by Obama administration that suggested that Islamic State group's Twitter traffic had plunged 45 per cent in the past two years.

US and its allies had countered messages of jihadi glorification with a flood of online images and statements about suffering and enslavement at the hands of the extremist organisation.
