UK rapist threatened to cut victim's eyes, jailed for multiple-sex attacks in 1 day

Norwich: A UK man was jailed for life for a string of terrifying sex attacks which he carried out in a matter of few hours.

According to a report in the The Sun, 40-year-old Kristof Lowery had brutally raped a woman and had threatened to cut her eyes with scissors. Soon after the first rape, he tired to sexually assault a 16-year-old school girl and another woman.

The prosecutor informed the Norwich Crown court that Lowery’s first victim was a 24-year-old woman, who he had invited to his house in Norfolk for a cigarette and a chat. He then made sexual advances at her, but faced with rejection, he held a scissors to her eyes and threatened to cut them off.

According to the victim, he forced himself upon her and refused to let her go immediately after the rape. He finally let her go, but warned her against telling anybody what happened. Lowery claimed his brother was a cop and nobody would believe her.

Lindsay Cox, the prosecutor, told the court that despite the warning, the victim raised an alarm but Lowery managed to flee in his scooter.

The same day, he tricked a 16-year-old school girl, who was cycling, into stopping on a lonely road. Lowery pretended that his scooter had some problem and made the teen stop to help him.

“When she bent down to look at the scooter he grabbed her by the shoulders and pushed her towards the undergrowth. She tried to struggle and fight him off and tried to get away,” Cox told the court.

Lowery overpowered the young girl and put his hand over her mouth to muffle her screams and tried to sexually assault her. However, on finding out that she was only 16, he stopped, apologised to the girl and fled in his scooter.

The teen noted down his vehicle’s number and alerted the police about the incident.

Meanwhile, Lowery went on to target his third victim, who started screaming and managed to scare him off.

The sex-crazed man then turned himself to the police and now faces a lifetime in jail. He is a repeat offender who was jailed for 12 years in 2000 for raping a woman.

On Thursday, he admitted to all his crimes, which included rape, attempted rape and common assault.

The judge jailed him for life this time and said he posed a “high risk” of harm to women. Lowery will not be considered for parole till he serves at least twenty-seven years and 247 days in jail.
