French woman held after she approaches police to test quality of cocaine
Paris: A 45-year-old woman was arrested by police in France on Tuesday after she approached a police station with three bags full of cocaine to ascertain the quality of the drug.
According to a report in Daily Mail, the incident took place in the French town of Toulouse. She walked in deliberately to a police station and placed two packets of powdered cocaine and one pack of crack cocaine on the counter table and asked the astonished officer to check the quality.
She wanted to ascertain the quality of the drug as she “did not want people to die of an overdose,” police quoted her saying.
France has stringent laws on drug abuse and is prohibited in the country with violators facing up to an year in prison in addition to a hefty fine of 3,750 Euros.
