Vienna: Officials at Austria's Graz airport detained a woman after she was caught carrying intestines of her dead husband. The customs officials held the woman after they became suspicious of her unusual behavior.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, while the woman was travelling through customs, officials observed that she was nervous, following which they decided to check her luggage.
The suspect who was travelling from Morocco to Graz airport was carrying body parts of her dead husband, said officials, adding that the cut out intestines were carefully placed in two containers.
When interrogated, the woman told the officials that she was carrying the organs of her dead husband.
The woman said that she believed her husband was poisoned and therefore she wanted a medical checkup to be conducted, for which she was carrying the intestines with her.
Graz airport is located in Austria's second largest city. It serves flights to domestic as well as international destinations. More than 6,000 passengers travel through Graz on a daily basis.
