Dublin, Ireland: In a horrific incident, a young man has been arrested and jailed for 13 years on the charges of brutally raping a 73-year-old woman twice at her home in Ireland.
The 26-year-old accused, Anthony Hussey from Irish village of Sneem, was dressed in dark clothes and balaclava when he attacked the victim in her bedroom, reported The Sun.
While attacking the victim, Hussey told her that there were three more men outside her house waiting to attack her.
Although the victim tried to resist, Hussey overpowered her and pushed her down to the floor, put his hands over her mouth and raped her.
Before fleeing from her house and covering her body with a bed sheet, Hussey said to the victim, "You enjoyed it, didn't you?"
After a case was registered with the police and a trial of the same was heard at Central Criminal Court, the victim's lawyer told the judge that she was broken, terrorised and waiting for her death.
The victim told the court that she felt ashamed, naked, raw and so old, disgusted, betrayed and humiliated.
"I was too weak or clumsy to defend myself, which seemed to amuse him, " the aged victim was quoted as saying.
Hussey pleaded guilty to two counts of anal rape at the victim's home and has been jailed for a term of 13 years. After his release, he will also be placed on supervision for a term of five years.
