UK ads show men asking for sex from homeless women in exchange for shelter

Some of the users, directly or indirectly, specify that they would provide free accommodation to women for sex.

London: In a shocking revelation, a homelessness charity organisation has said that exploitative advertisements on the internet are luring homeless women by providing free accommodation in exchange for sex.

Shelter, a charity organisation, has revealed that a number of advertisements were listed on the online website 'Craigslist'.

According to a report by the Shelter, these advertisements lure women by providing them with rent-free accommodation.

“If any young female student is in need of free of charge accommodation and is prepared to act as a ‘resource’ in return, then please provide full personal details and a recent pic and reply from your own private e-mail address please. No pic, no reply,” wrote a Craigslist user.

The charity organisation said that the users often post advertisements looking for pretty young girls and even demand their photographs to confirm it.

Another user posted a similar advertisement looking for a pretty young girl. It read, “If there is any homeless single stunning females who are out there seeking to save or seeking to be re-housed by a friendly genuine white britisg guy then look no further. I offer a genuine offer to any young single hot sexy female of any nationality or culture to house share with me free rent free."

A spokesperson from Shelter said that some of the users, directly or indirectly, specify that they would provide free accommodation to women for sex.

Expressing her anger over the advertisements, Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities, Angela Rayner said that websites such as Craigslist should immediately remove such advertisements that encourage modern slavery and force women into becoming sex slaves.

More than 3,500 people sleep on the roads every night in England, reveal government statistics.
