London: A 26-year-old man has been sentenced for 20 months in prison after he allegedly ran over his car on another man for ‘looking at his girlfriend’.
According to a report in the Metro, William Whitehorn had an argument with a 20-year-old man in the train after he felt that the younger man was looking at his girlfriend.
The two men deboarded the train at the Staines station, wherein, Whitehorn took to his car and drove over the other man, after which he went straight to his aunt’s place and told her ‘I think I might have killed someone.’
The young man however survived the mishap without any serious or life threatening injuries.
Whitehorn was eventually arrested by the police and produced in the court, where he pleaded guilty.
“Whitehorn’s actions were extremely dangerous. He was angry with the victim, whom he did not know, because he thought he had been looking at his girlfriend, and reacted by driving his car at him,” a police officer associated with the case said.
