Porn found in UK Deputy Prime Minister's computer

British home secretary Amber Rudd said Britain is having a watershed moment.

London: British Deputy Prime Minister Damian Green is facing a fresh scandal after it was claimed that cops found “extreme” porn on his computer. Mr Green has angrily denied the accusations, media reports said on Sunday.

Former Metropolitan Police assistant commissioner Bob Quick alleged that the material was discovered on Mr Green's computer during an inquiry into government leaks in 2008. However, Mr Green called the Sunday Times report “completely untrue” and said it came from an untrustworthy tainted source.

“The allegations about the material and computer, now nine years old, are false, disreputable political smears from a discredited police officer acting in flagrant breach of his duty to keep the details of police investigations confidential, and amount to little more than an unscrupulous character assassination,” he said.
Mr Green is already being investigated for alleged inappropriate advances to a Conservative Party activist. A rising number of legislators from the Conservative and Labour parties face similar allegations.

British home secretary Amber Rudd said Britain is having a “watershed” moment. She told Sky News that electing more female legislators would help change the male-dominated culture in Parliament.
