Carlos Slim for 3-day work week in Mexico
Shorter workweeks are a solution to civilization shifts.

London: Mexico’s richest man, Carlos Slim, wants a three-day work week and a later retirement age to counterbalance changes in the way that civilisation is living and working, according to the Independent. “Shorter workweeks are a solution to civilization shifts. It’s important that people don’t retire at 50, 60, or 65 years. People should retire later, because they’ll have more knowledge and experience. They should work three days a week, to create space for others,” he told Bloomberg Businessweek. “There will be less need for transportation. Nations won’t have to face early retirements that are financially destabilising.”
