Hertfordshire: In a shocking incident, a man under the influence of alcohol and weed pushed his girlfriend from the fourth floor of a building, according to a report in the Mirror. The incident was result of a fight between the two.
The 21-year-old girl survived the fall as she landed in a bush. She was thrown from a height of 45 feet, however, she incurred major injuries that have crippled her for life. The sudden fall gave her a fractured skull and bruises in the brain. Her internal organs are also damaged.
The duo was drinking at a friend’s place when they picked a fight. The couple was left alone in a room to sort out the matter. Later on, they shifted to the balcony.
Being unable to contain his anger, the man pushed his girlfriend from the fourth floor, said a witness.
Being mother to a 5-year-old she has many responsibilities but owing to injuries she wouldn’t be able to take care of her child properly. As quoted in the report, the girl’s mother said, “Her injuries are life changing.”
The man has been arrested on charges of attempt to murder and imprisoned for 20 years.
