UK prisoner sexually assaulted own 9-year-old daughter during jail visit

London: A 45-year-old prison inmate allegedly molested his own 9-year-old daughter when she would come to visit him in jail.

The prisoner is accused of groping and molesting the little girl during apparently supervised visits at Barlinnie prison, as reported by the Mirror.

Alarm was raised at the prisoner’s appalling behaviour when prison staff suspected inappropriate behaviour and reviewed CCTV footage, before informing police.

According to reports, the accused cannot be named for legal reasons and is expected to stand trial this month.

The alleged sexual assault took place in the prison’s family area, which is supervised by wardens.

The inmate, a computer expert who lived in the west of Scotland, was jailed for 16 months last April.
