Trump, Clinton, Royals And Billionaires : High Profile Names In Epstein Files
After release at least 16 documents vanished from a Justice Department webpage without explanation

The publication of thousands of documents linked to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein has laid bare the extraordinary social and political access he retained long after his 2008 conviction for child sex offences. Despite that conviction, Epstein continued to move comfortably within elite circles spanning politics, royalty, business and entertainment until his death in a New York jail in 2019.
The cache of records—widely referred to as the “Epstein files”—was released following sustained public pressure on the US Department of Justice and a congressional directive calling for greater transparency. The material includes photographs, emails, audio recordings and investigative documents compiled over several years.
Within 24 hours of being uploaded online, at least 16 documents vanished from a Justice Department webpage without explanation. Among the missing items was a photograph showing former US President Donald Trump with Epstein, Melania Trump and Epstein’s long-time associate Ghislaine Maxwell, reportedly discovered in a drawer at one of Epstein’s properties.
Who appears in the Epstein files?
The documents depict Epstein and Maxwell—now serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking—alongside a wide array of prominent individuals. These range from US presidents and senior politicians to members of the British royal family, billionaires, academics, musicians and actors.
Entertainers featured in the files include Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger and Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey. Many appear in group photographs taken at social events, sometimes alongside Epstein, Maxwell or political figures such as Bill Clinton.
Virgin Group founder Richard Branson is also pictured with Epstein in an undated photograph that includes several women whose identities have been obscured. Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, appears in another undated image with a woman whose face has been covered. Her former husband, Prince Andrew, features more prominently across the documents.
Prince Andrew stepped back from royal duties and lost his titles following allegations made by Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre—claims he has consistently denied.
US presidents and political figures
Bill Clinton appears repeatedly in the files, with multiple photographs showing him socialising with Epstein and Maxwell during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Donald Trump’s past association with Epstein has also resurfaced, prompting renewed public scrutiny.
Other political and diplomatic figures named in the documents include former US Treasury secretary Larry Summers; Robert F Kennedy Jr., now US health secretary; Peter Mandelson, former UK ambassador to the US; Ehud Barak, former Israeli prime minister; Bill Richardson, former UN ambassador and former governor of New Mexico; and George Mitchell, former US Senate majority leader and international peace negotiator.
Business, media and academia
Technology and business leaders referenced in the files include Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Reid Hoffman, Peter Thiel, L Brands founder Les Wexner and hedge fund billionaire Glenn Dubin.
The records also mention interactions with journalist Michael Wolff and filmmaker Woody Allen, with some correspondence suggesting meetings took place after Epstein’s 2008 conviction.
Entertainers such as Naomi Campbell, Courtney Love, Chris Tucker and David Copperfield are listed, as are journalists and public figures including Peggy Siegal. Academic and public intellectual Noam Chomsky appears multiple times in email exchanges.
Financial and legal figures named include Alan Dershowitz, Jes Staley, Tom Pritzker and Kathryn Ruemmler. The files also reference Epstein’s close associates and staff, among them Sarah Kellen, Adriana Mucinska, Nadia Marcinkova and his brother, Mark Epstein.
Additional names span the fashion and modelling industry—such as Jean-Luc Brunel, Frederic Fekkai and Alexandra Fekkai—as well as members of Donald Trump’s family, including Marla Maples and Tiffany Trump. A broader list of associates, employees and contacts also appears throughout the records.
The release of the documents has renewed global attention on Epstein’s network and the institutions that enabled his continued access to power. However, it is important to note that inclusion in the files does not, in itself, indicate wrongdoing.
Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his jail cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.
