20 People Injured As Pendulum Ride Snaps In Saudi Arabia
In the shocking video, the '360 Big Pendulum' ride snapped in two, following which the party carrying people crashed to the ground.
More than 20 people were injured when a pendulum ride collapsed while in air, in an amusement park in Saudi Arabia. Some of the injured received first aid in the amusement park while a few others were shifted to a hospital. Reports said that there were no fatalities.
Reportedly, the incident occurred in the Al-Hada area of the city of Taif on Wednesday. In the shocking video, the '360 Big Pendulum' ride snapped in two, following which the party carrying people crashed to the ground. The video footage posted on social media showed the pendulum swinging riders, strapped into their seats, in a wide arc several times before the pendulum arm snapped.
Local media reports mentioned that Taif Governor Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud bin Abdulaziz had ordered that the park be closed and an investigation be done into the incident.
