Taipei: In a shocking incident that has sparked outrage on social media, a caretaker in Taiwan was filmed beating an elderly woman. The video was filmed by an unidentified person.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, the 11-minute video filmed in a care facility shows the scared and confused woman cowering on the floor as the caretaker slaps her.
The woman can be seen clinging to the metal frame of a bed as tries to save herself from the man.
The video shows the man entering the room filled with elderly people. He then moves towards the victim and asks her to get back into her bed. However, before the woman could get up and proceed towards her bed, the man slapped her in the face.
Helpless, the woman tries to cover her face and protect herself from the man.
The video, which was uploaded on Facebook earlier this week, has been viewed more than 5 million times. Social media users posted a lot of comments on the video.
"There's a place in hell for you. When you get old hope you will suffer like this," wrote one user.
"This guy is no man. He needs to be taught a lesson," wrote another.
