Man cuts off lawyer's penis over affair with wife, flushes it down the toilet

Tokyo: A Japanese man has been arrested for brutally mutilating a lawyer's penis and flushing it down the toilet after he discovered that the former had an affair with his wife.

Identified as Ikki Kotsugai, a boxer by profession, the accused admitted to cutting off the 42-year-old victim's penis with a 20 centimetre-long garden shear.

According to a report in the Independent, the 25-year-old Kotsugai met the victim at his office and started punching him until he fell unconscious. He then unzipped the victim's pants, chopped his penis and fled from the scene.

Kotsugai was arrested following a police complaint and pleaded guilty to committing the crime. However, the victim's reproductive organ was not found.

In his statement to the police, Kotsugai said that his wife who had worked with the lawyer's firm, had falsely accused the victim of forcing her into a relationship. During the investigation, police discovered that the affair was consensual and not forced.

During the trial of the case, the prosecutors told the court that “the victim has lost his reproductive function, which is a serious health concern, and received mental distress”.
