US: Video shows screaming boy hurled off a 27-foot tall bridge, falls into river

Montesano, Washington: In a shocking incident, a 4-year-old boy was hurled off a bridge into Wynoochee River in Montesano, Washington by his father. The entire incident was captured on camera by a group of friends who then posted it on Facebook.

Witnesses said that the boy was screaming in terror when his father dragged him to the end of the bridge and hurled him off straight into the river.

“As soon as he hit the water, my heart sank, I felt so bad… I didn't know what to do,” the man capturing the video wrote on Facebook.

They also added that his mother stood besides his father watching the child being plunged into the river, but did not try to intervene.

It is not clear if the parents of the boy will be charged for negligence and child endangerment as no case has been registered against the accused yet.

Meanwhile, the boy had a lucky escape as he survived the incident. It is unclear if he suffered any injuries.

If convicted, the accused could face a prison term for child abuse along with trespassing charges as the bridge is part of a private property.
