Trump singles out woman reporter for nice smile' on call with Ireland PM
Washington: United States President Donald Trump singled out a woman journalist, who had come to report his conversation with newly-elected Ireland PM Leo Varadkar, for her ‘nice smile’ on Tuesday.
According to Daily Mail report, Trump gestured to an Irish journalist, Caitriona Perry, to come forward when he was on-call with Varadkar.
Perry was one of a group of reporters in the Oval office to attend the event.
Trump said, “We have all of this beautiful Irish press. Where are you from? Come here.”

Trump remarked that the reporter had a 'beautiful smile on her face' and told Varadkar, Ireland's first gay prime minister, 'she must treat you well'.
As Varadkar in response, perhaps thanked the reporter, as Trump added, “He thanks you for the newspapers, Caitriona”.
Perry initially laughed off the incident. But soon after, she posted a short video to Twitter, terming it a "bizarre moment."
