Donald Trump showing signs of mental instability: Expert
Washington: A leading Yale psychiatrist has said that President Donald Trump may be a threat to the survival of the American society as he is “showing a lot of signs” of dangerous mental impairment. In an interview with The Independent, Dr Bandy Lee blamed Mr Trump for a “marked surge” in violence among her own own patients since his election. “Mr Trump is certainly showing a lot of signs. A number of us really believe that he should undergo an evaluation, to undergo really the true extent of his impairment,” she told the newspaper.
“The real dangerousness is this instability, unpredictability and impulsivity that point to dangerousness due to mental impairment. The kind of taunting of North Korea, for example. The military attack that was done within a few days of office. “He suddenly, impulsively, bombed Syria. And then the dropping of the Mother of All Bombs, the expression of contentment at the show of force, is very troublesome.”
Earlier, a group of psychiatrists had diagnosed Mr Trump with a “serious mental illness” and petitioned for him to be impeached. The petition read: “Trump manifests a serious mental illness that renders him psychologically incapable of competently discharging the duties of President of the United States. The petition has since garnered more than 47,000 signatures, The Sun reported.
