United Nations: UNSC held an informal session on Thursday which spoke about the safety of minorities in conflict.
India, however, declined to speak when it was invited by Poland's Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz who was also chairing the session.
India was listed as a speaker and was to speak after Pakistan according to the roster of speakers, IANS reported.
Pakistan's delegate defended his stance when criticised by Samuel Brownback, the US Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom, Tariq Ahmad, a British Minister of State who is Prime Minister Boris Johnson's Special Envoy for Freedom of Religion, and Canada's Permanent Representative Marc Andre Blanchard, as well as a Naveed Walter, the President of Human Rights Focus Pakistan, an NGO.
Pakistan's rebuttal was however mild as compared to China and Russia which hit back harshly in their responses to their western critics.
No comments were passed by the Pakistani delegate on Kashmir issue.
