Sleep well Hillary Clinton, says Donald Trump ahead of debate
Washington: Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump teased his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton to “sleep well” ahead of the first presidential debate next week which is likely to attract a record number of viewership.
Clinton appeared at no public events on Tuesday with less than two months before the election, and Trump promptly ridiculed her “taking the day off”.
“Hillary Clinton is taking the day off again, she needs the rest. Sleep well Hillary — see you at the debate!” Trump said in a tweet after it was reported that Clinton has taken a day off from her grilling campaign schedule.
Meanwhile, questioning the national security and foreign policies of Hillary, Trump said if elected he will stop the policy of regime change overseas and instead focus on defeating ISIS. Identifying radical Islam as a major threat to the US, he alleged Clinton was not even speaking about the issue.
Clinton and Trump, on Wednesday, also accused each other of misappropriation of funds meant for charity and “fraud” after reports said the two have overlapping interest in their charities.
Trump’s version of charity is taking money from others to settle his own legal issues, charged the Clinton Campaign. The Trump Campaign alleged that Clinton Foundation is first and foremost an arm of the Clintons’ political and buck-raking apparatus.
