Pakistani court summons Nawaz Sharif

The Islamabad-based accountability court ordered Mr Sharif and his children Maryam, Hussain and Hassan to appear before it.

Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his children were on Wednesday summoned by an anti-corruption court to appear before it on September 19 in a case linked to the family’s company in the UK.

They were summoned after the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) last week filed four cases against Mr Sharif, his family members and finance minister Ishaq Dar.

The Islamabad-based accountability court ordered Mr Sharif and his children — Maryam, Hussain and Hassan — to appear before it on September 19 in a case linked to the Sharifs’ company, Flagship Investment Ltd., in the UK.

Meanwhile, v. The top court was hearing review petitions filed by Mr Sharif’s family.
