New Halloween constume inspired by Kim Kardashian's robbery heist sparks outrage

The costume consists of a long black wig, sunglasses, a white bathrobe, rope, a mouth gag and a large plastic ring.

New York: Even as America's highest paid TV star Kim Kardashian is trying hard to recover from her scary encounter with robbers at Paris hotel room, a California-based company is selling a Halloween costume called "Parisian Heist Robbery Victim", sparking outrage among people.

The Halloween costume is being sold online by Costumeish. It consists of a long black wig, sunglasses, a white bathrobe, rope, a mouth gag and a large plastic ring.

"This Halloween it’s all about the #Hallomeme and who better than America’s goddess of all things glamorous ‘Parisian Heist Robbery Victim Costume?" the caption of the costume reads on the website.

However, the costume received backlash on social media with many people criticising the online retailer for taking the robbery matter too far.

"This costume is not only f****** tasteless but completely disrespectful of a very serious situation that not only Kim Kardashian has experienced but countless other women and men," wrote one user on Twitter.

"The Kim Kardashian Halloween costume is beyond disrespectful #disgusting," wrote another.

Earlier, Kardashian had said that she will take a month off from her work and will also re-evaluate how she displays her wealth.

This wake up call came after she was dragged out of the bedroom of the hotel room, zip-tied and thrown on the floor by five masked men, before she was robbed of her jewellery worth USD 10 million.

The robbers zip-tied Kardashian's hands with plastic handcuffs, duct-taped her mouth and ankles and dumped her in the bathtub.

They made off with a ring worth around four million euros ($4.5 million) and a case of jewellery with a value of five million euros ($5.6 million), a police source said. Two mobile phones were also taken.

Kardashian had always flaunted her ring and other jewellery on social media.
