'They said it couldn't happen': How US papers covered Trump’s stunning win

Donald Trump proved his naysayers terribly wrong by pulling off a stunning win at the US elections.

Washington: He was mocked, scorned and written off by many newspapers, but US president-elect Donald Trump's shocking victory has forced media houses to eat their words. "They said it couldn't happen," read the front page headline of New York Post, with their bold sub-headline announcing his win in just two words - President Trump.
