US: Woman fires gun shot as warning to deter boy from raping dog, arrested

Arkansas: A woman in the United States has been jailed for firing a warning shot at a teenage boy, who she accused of raping her neighbour’s dog.

According to report in Daily Mail, Kellie Lenkerd called up authorities to report the bestiality. The police, however, arrested her with aggravated assault.

Lenkerd, 40, claimed that boy whose identity has been kept secret was in her neighbours' backyard wearing shorts and T-shirts was interfering with the dog.

Detective Jeremiah Nicholson of Centerton Police Department said that we received a complaint about ‘juvenile male sexually assaulted a dog’ on 17 April 2017.

Lenkerd informed police that “I heard my dog Linus barking like crazy so I looked out my bedroom and saw N with his boxers on and the dog he raped”.

Lenkerd said, the teenage, who didn’t leave the dog despite me intervening had to threaten him with the gun. Being undeterred, I had to fire a round of fire on ground near him, after which he jumps off the fence leaving his I-pad and headphones behind.

After loud noise of the gun fire, Patricia Peterson, owner of the dog, peeped outside and saw teenage boy running away from his backyard.

However, there is no evidence to prove boy had abused the animal. Court charged Lenkerd with aggravated assault. However, she was later released on bail of $5,000.
