President Donald Trump has vowed to do whatever is necessary to protect the US and its allies from a “vile enemy” that has “waged war” on innocent lives, his first public comments after the van and knife attack in London.
“This bloodshed must end, this bloodshed will end,” he said, speaking at an annual fundraiser for Fords Theater, scene of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. He also called for a “much tougher version” of his travel ban and an “expedited” hearing for the measure before the Supreme Court.
