McKeesport, Pennsylvania (US): A frantic call made by a seven-year-old girl to her teacher asking for help after she failed to wake up her parents, led US cops to a dead couple.
Police believe that the couple died after a drug overdose. The incident took place at the couple's home in McKeesport in Pennslyvania.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, the incident came to light when the couple's seven-year-old daughter made a call to her school teacher and told her that she was not able to wake her parents.
The teacher then called up police officials and informed them about the incident, following which the authorities rushed to the crime scene. They said that they were shocked to find a nine-month-old girl, three-year-old boy and one more child in the house.
Police suspect that the couple might have been dead for a day or two, believed to be due to heroin overdose.
Authorities said that an autopsy of the dead bodies will determine to cause of death and they are not suspecting any foul play.
Earlier, in February, a woman claiming to be a relative of the dead couple said that both of them were drug addicts and that they kept their children in filthy conditions.
She also posted photographs of the couple's home on her Facebook wall and wrote about the dirty rooms.
The woman also claimed that one of the couple's daughters had to be admitted to hospital soon after her birth as she had a huge amount of drugs in her body.
