Sexist anti-Hillary badges mocking her fat thighs' sold at Trump's rally
Indiana: Republican front-runner Donald Trump is known for making sexist jibes against his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton and now his supporters have taken it to a new low by selling anti-Hillary buttons which mock her body and brand her a Bit**.
The sexist buttons that were on display at a Trump rally in Indiana this week were tweeted by several users, including a Washington Post reporter. While one button read 'KFC Clinton Special: 2 fat thighs, 2 small breasts ... left wing', the other said, ‘Life’s a bit**, don’t vote for one’.
But this is not the first time such ‘KFC Clinton Special’ buttons are being sold. Last year in November, a vendor was spotted selling the same blue buttons at the Florida Republican Party’s Sunshine Summit.
The badges have sparked outrage on social media and many have denounced the buttons as extremely sexist and in bad taste.
Some people slammed those behind the buttons and attacked them for failing to come up with an original slogan as it steals its idea from a 2013 sexist attack on then Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard.
A fundraiser dinner hosted by a Liberal Candidate served a menu to its guests and Gillard was listed as a dish with the following description - “small breasts, huge thighs and a big red box”.
The candidate had to later issue an apology for the menu and had admitted that it was sexist.
As far as the US election campaign goes, Donald Trump has almost sealed his spot in the race for White House as Ted Cruz bowed out of the fight after facing a crushing defeat in the Indiana GOP primary.
Bernie Sanders on the other hand narrowly defeated Hillary Clinton in Indiana, but overall figures indicate that she might emerge as the winning horse for Democrats.
