'I know it's Jesus': US teen claims she's pregnant despite negative tests

Washington: An American teenager has claimed that she is nine months pregnant and is carrying baby Jesus, despite her tests turning out to be negative.

According to a report in Mirror, the 19-year-old, identified as Haley, had undergone several pregnancy tests and a pelvic examination to check if she had conceived. However, all turned out to be negative. Yet, she insisted that she was expecting a baby.

During an interview with the popular psychology talk show Dr. Phil show, Haley said, "I am pregnant, and it is Jesus. My family, my friends, my pastors at church, they don’t believe that I’m pregnant."

"I don’t care if my family disowns me. It really comes down to if you’re a true believer in Jesus or not … I don’t care what the home pregnancy test or a doctor says, when I give birth to my baby, no one is going to deny him because he’s my saviour," Haley said adding that she would soon give birth to a baby boy.

Haley's mother, on the other hand, called her daughter a 'compulsive liar', stating that she must be lying about her pregnancy.

"The first time I heard her say that, she actually was saying it was Jesus Christ in her stomach. I looked at her like she had lost her mind," Haley's mother Kristi said.

"She was just going off into a delusional tailspin," she added.
