Washington: A US business is facing growing calls to take down its controversial window signs that target President Barack Obama, Muslims and African Americans.
The convenience store in New Mexico has reportedly displayed the signs for years and has even sold them to customers. One sign reads: “Obama & other Muslims Not welcome here”.
A former store employee, Marlon McWilliams, told KOB the store owner had also sold signs that targeted Hillary and Bill Clinton and advertised “Obama toilet paper.”
According to the Independent, last year the store had displayed a sign which read “Kill Obama”. Another sign targeted NFL player Colin Kapaernick, who had refused to stand during the national anthem to protest police violence against the Blacks. The sign called the athlete an “overpaid half breed” who should “go back to Africa,” the Independent reported.
