Washington: In a blood-curdling incident, a 35-year-old man from Minessota has been charged of second degree murder by a county court for stabbing his friend and beheading him as a revenge for raping his girlfriend.
According to reports, Joe Thoresen and his girlfriend were acquainted well with 20-year-old David Haiman. Early last week, when Thoresen informed his girlfriend that Haiman would be joining them for the evening, she threw a fit and claimed that she was raped by Haiman.
The complaint filed by the police said that she confronted Haiman when he arrived and punched him repeatedly, who later ‘agreed to be tied up and beaten up in the bedroom.’ She punched him in the face and broke his nose and kicked him in the gut. Thoresen joined his girlfriend in the assault, seemingly bringing a settlement to the rape allegation.
After the ruckus in the house, the trio went on a drug trail, smoked marijuana and meth on their way. Under the influence of meth, Haiman started abusing Thoresen and his girlfriend. Infuriated, Thoresen, who was also under influence, hit Haiman with a baseball bat that was in his car, and as his friend was groaning, took out a knife, stabbed Haiman in the chest, and decapitated him.
Covered knee-length in blood, Thoresen threw the head away and later dragged the body into woods.
He later tried destroying the evidence with the help of his friend but was unable to, as he was spotted by the police driving Haiman’s car, with the number plates blackened.
Although the police claim that there is no clear evidence pointing to the rape allegation, Thoresen’s girlfriend repeated the claim in her confession, and also added that the knife used for the murder was hidden under her bed.
