4 suicide bombers target market, school in Cameroon, kill 22
Yaounde, Cameroon: A Cameroon governor says two suicide bombers hit a market in the north Cameroon village of Meme, killing at least 22 people, and two others targeted a school in a nearby town.
Far north governor Midjiyawa Bakari says 70 people were wounded on Friday and have been taken to a hospital in the town of Tokombere, some in critical condition. He said the attackers disguised themselves as food vendors in the market.
A teacher at the government school in Tokombere, Mamoudou Gonit, said the attackers detonated their explosives in the bush about 1 kilometer (1 mile) from the school after they were identified.
Attacks across Nigeria's borders increased by Boko Haram extremists last year in countries, such as Cameroon, contributing to a multinational force to wipe out Boko Haram.
