Burning man sucked out of aircraft at 14,000ft after midair explosion
Mogadishu: Two passengers were injured in an explosion that blew a hole in the fuselage of a commercial plane taking off from the Mogadishu on Tuesday, an airline representative said.
A passenger was also sucked out of the plane at 14,000 feet after a suspected bomb blasted a hole through the side of the fuselage just five minutes after take off, according to reports.
There was no immediate explanation of the explosion from the airline or Somali government officials.
Airline officials claim two people were hurt in the blast, which punched a six foot by three foot hole in the Airbus A321's fuselage yesterday.
Aviation website www.airlive.net said the explosion occurred on flight D3159, an Airbus A321, adding witnesses heard a loud bang.
Eyewitnesses claim the badly burned body of an elderly man fell to earth about 15 miles away from Mogadishu airport.
Daallo flies to several destinations in the Horn of Africa and the Middle East, its website showed.
