Willing to Carry Suicide Bomb for India in War Against Pakistan: Karnataka Minister Zameer

Housing and Minority Welfare Minister says he’s ready to fight on the frontlines if the government calls on him

Housing and Minority Welfare Minister B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan on Friday said he is prepared to fight for the country in the event of a war with Pakistan—even going so far as to declare that he would carry a "suicide bomb" if needed. Speaking at a press conference in Vijayanagara, Khan responded passionately when asked about escalating tensions with Pakistan.

“We are Indians, we are Hindustanis. We have no connection whatsoever with Pakistan. I’ve said this before,” he said, striking the table for emphasis. “If war breaks out and the government wants to send me, I am ready—as a minister and as a citizen. I will go and fight for my country. I’m not saying this in a moment of emotion—I mean it,” he asserted.

In a charged declaration, Khan added, “If the country needs me, let Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah give me a suicide bomb—I will tie it and go to Pakistan. I swear in the name of Allah, in the name of God.”
