Argentina (2022)

Argentina are the defending champions of the FIFA World Cup. They defeated France in a penalty shootout in the final, which helped Lionel Messi win his maiden World Cup trophy. It was Argentina's third World Cup title after winning it before in 1978 and 1986. (Slide 1)
France (2018)
France won their second FIFA World Cup title in 2018 when they defeated Croatia in the final played in Moscow, Russia. Hugo Lloris-led side won the final 4-2 against the fellow European side. France have been one of the most consistent teams in recent years, as they featured in the last two finals.
Germany (2014)
Germany defeated Argentina 1-0 in the 2014 FIFA World Cup held at the iconic Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was Mario Gotze's goal in the stoppage time which sealed the victory for Germany. It was Germany's fourth FIFA World Cup title after winning in 1954, 1974 and 1990 as West Germany.
Italy (2006)
Italy defeated France 5-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw after extra time in the final of 2006 FIFA World Cup. It was Italy's fourth FIFA World Cup title after winning it earlier in 1934, 1938 and 1982. Italy had failed to qualify for 2018, 2022 and the upcoming 2026 edition marking an unexpected 12-year absence from football's biggest stage.
Spain (2010)
La Roja won their maiden FIFA World Cup trophy in 2010 after defeating the Netherlands 1-0 thanks to the decisive goal by Andrés Iniesta in the 116th minute.
